食用生の花はサラダに加える。

健康促進／薬用鎮痙、消炎作用がある。
気管支炎、から咳、百日咳、関節炎、不眠、頭痛、情動不安（特に小児）に内服する。
妊娠中、アスピリン過敏者、抗凝血剤（ワルファリン）を服用しているものには使用してはならない。
